Established in 1963, the BMC is the premier middle distance running club in the UK. Through its program of races and training courses, for both athlete and coach, the club's aim is to improve the global standing of UK middle distance running
Recovery is a priority at major championships. Racing through the rounds means back-to-back efforts in very short periods of time. Here Jake Wightman starts his recovery immediately after his semi-final at the Tokyo Olympic Games as his thoughts turn to being ready for the final.
We are really pleased to enter into partnership with Riixo, and believe it offers a fantastic opportunity for BMC members to benefit from their ground breaking technology. Quick and efficient recovery can help runners make the most of their training and racing to achieve the best possible results. Many of our members are already using Riixo cuffs to help their recovery and we look forward to working with them to further inform and help our membership with sound recovery protocols.
It is an honour and a privilege to be the Recovery Partner for the British Milers Club. In Britain there is a rich tradition of middle distance running.
I’ve been incredibly impressed by how the club works for its members and seeks to help them reach their potential whether that is through competition, or sharing knowledge, experiences, insights and current research.
At Riixo we know recovery starts from the moment you stop. Research shows what you do in the 60 minutes after training or competition has the most impact to prepare your body for the next tough session. Performing at your best is the culmination of many details, big and small, that prepare you for those moments of competition. Everything you do matters – inside and outside of training.
