Our recovery cuffs have an athlete-centric design to aid faster muscle recovery. They uniquely combines three therapies in one solution: ice, heat, and compression.
Freezes in 2 hours and stays frozen for up to 5 hours.
It helps with
Pain; swelling; muscle pain recovery after exercise; DOMs; muscle cell function; and lactic acid removal.
Warms up in 15 seconds and stays warm for up to 3 hours.
It helps with
Preparation before exercise; pain; muscle spasms; blood flow; and tissue healing.
Evenly distributes gradient compression.
It helps with
Muscle soreness; fluid return; removing lactic acid; swelling; and muscle support.
By combining compression, ice, and heat, our recovery calf cuff is suitable for each stage of the muscle recovery process. Here’s how you can use each therapy.
Phase 1: Inflammatory
Inflammation occurs when the body protects itself. It does this by flooding the injured area with fluid. This process is essential, but too much fluid can be bad, as the soft tissue may stretch. We apply compression and ice to decrease the blood flow into the injured area and reduce the amount of swelling.
Â
Phase 2: Proliferation
The body begins to repair, and new tissue and scar tissue are formed at the injury site. Heat can now be applied to accelerate the healing process.
Â
Phase 3: Remodelling
This is the process of returning to health: the restoration of structure and function of the injured tissue. The healing process includes blood clotting, tissue mending, scarring and bone healing. Heat therapy can also be used during this phase.
